Additions to the Board of Trustees: The following people were voted on to the Board of Trustees:
Kerie Wallace was Co-opted to the County Board of Trustees as Ferny Crofts Chair.
Adam Jackman was Co-opted to the County Board of Trustees from Hampshire County Council.
The County Chair, Sarah Thomas, Nominated Harrison Gorst to the County Board of Trustees as Deputy County Chair.
The County Team Structure has been adjusted in line with HQ as follows:
Keith Hawkins as DCC for Volunteering Development
Martin Rudd as DCC Community Support
Paul Hedges and Sarah Anderson as District Support
Peter Knott as Programme Team and SASUs
There is a new Support Team headed by Paul Hedges. This Team has County Events, Safeguarding, Media and Comms, Safety, Ferny Crofts and the County Office Team.
The Governance side has the remaining people.
Comms and Digital are being merged into one Team under Paul Hedges.
A Mergers update was given as follows:
The South Downs merger has been halted for now, further consultation will take place with the DCs.
The Eastleigh/ Chandlers Ford merger has been delayed for 4 months; monthly meetings will take place (until the end of January) to work together on getting this through.
DC Update:
Basingstoke East DC has resigned. A team DC is temporarily in place.
Rotherfield DC Steve Foster has resigned as DC.
Mark Elbourn has been appointed Fareham West DC
The County Treasurer provided a Finance Report and a proposal on how we pay mileage payments to staff and volunteers. The Board agreed to increase the rates payable in line with HMRD guidance.
The Grants Committee updated the Board on Grants paid. They also confirmed that the Covid Recovery Grant Fund has now been closed; remaining funds will be handed back to County with a proposal for a new Grants pot.
Personnel Update:
The Board were advised that G&D Officer Vanessa Slawson has resigned.
A County Safety Adviser is needed, Cluster Reps will raise this at Cluster Meetings.
