The Previous year’s Management Accounts were presented to the Board for approval for submission to the AGM.
BaseCamp Conference in Manchester confirmed that OSM would not go ahead, but The Scout Association will make their own system, starting with adults (to replace Compass) and then move on to one for Youth Data. Therefore the Board agreed to halt working on moving forward with OSM for now pending further info on the new HQ system.
Mergers update:
Chandlers Ford and Eastleigh talks are progressing, Colin Floyd was announced as the new DC for the newly merged District.
The Board were asked to approve the new name for the merged Havant, Petersfield and Waterlooville District as ‘South Downs District’.
New Posts:
A new County Chair will be needed to take post from the AGM.
New DCs for Fareham West and Andover are needed.
3 new Growth and Development workers (2 Officers and a co-ordinator) have been recruited and have now started working.
A new Cluster Rep for New Forest East is needed.
A County Safety Adviser is to be appointed.
Ferny Crofts Update:
Moving into the summer season, schools are on site and all systems are go.
Interviews for a Housekeeper are being held.
The Cave Bus will be formally opened at the AGM.
We have taken 4 containers from the Royal Navy, one of which is being converted into an outdoor kitchen on site.
Cluster Reps reported positive feedback, lots of Jubilee activities have been planned.
HYPER (Hampshire Young Peoples Emergency Response) update: Launches this year on 2nd July at FC.
