  • The Chair welcomed members and in particular Martin Mackey to his last meeting as County Commissioner for Hampshire
  • The Covid level is shifting to Green on 27th Feb with everything back to normal, there is guidance online on the website.
  • We have carried out the largest restructure across the County for many years, and there are now 23 Districts.
  • A paper proposing additional G&D Development Staff was presented to The Board. Another report was presented by County Operations Manager on ‘G&D Impact Report 2021.’  - The Committee voted to accept the proposal of the recruitment of 2 new GDO staff. 10 people voted For the proposal, and so the vote was carried with a majority over 50%.
  • A paper ‘County President and VP proposal’ was presented to the Board reviewing how we get these roles in place as a defined role. - The Committee voted on whether to include the President and VP role in our County Constitution. This vote was carried with a majority in favour.
  • The Ferny Crofts Strategy Document was presented to and accepted by the Board.
  • County Conference 19 March 2022 save the date emails will be going out this week, with the venue hoping to be Ashburton Hall in Winchester.
  • Displaced Afgan Refugees in our County were discussed and were identified by the Board as a group in need of support. Inclusion Strategy was discussed including things to consider, such as Fees, Funding, Hardship issue. The Board agreed we should support this community where we can and the Grants Sub-Committee will look at the level of support we can offer.
  • Financial update was given to the Board and confirmation that a handover has taken place between the old and new County Treasurer.
  • Reports were given from the Grants Committee, Ferny Crofts, Appointments and the Cluster Reps updating on these areas.
  • A Data Breach was reported and reminders given for 'Bcc' to be used on group emails. One Subject Access Request was received and is being responded to.
  • A Census Update was given, and help requested from Senior Volunteers to assist in  chasing Districts that had not completed in time for the  deadline of 13th February.
